Of course you can be lazy and sleep in late. The silence overnight might be deafening.
But to see a sight seldom seen, full of gold light and light lacey fog on our trophy fishing Walker Lake, rouse yourself from under the comfy down comforters, tippy toe through the great room and step out onto the porch to see the magic of a foggy early morning on the lake.
You are likely to find fellow travelers, sitting on the deck drinking in the kind of tranquilly they can't find at home. The coffee will be on early and you can take a minute to partake of our complimentary continental breakfast.
For the adventuresome, now is the time to hike around the entire lake. Just few miles and, at this time of day, you are more likely to see the deer or even a moose. For sure you'll see chipmunks, and birds maybe even our resident Eagle as she swoops low over the lake to pick up a tasty trout breakfast for her young.
The fog won't last long. You'll be back just in time to break out your fly rod and put a reel in some of our magnificent rainbow trout.
We are fly-only, catch and release lake private lake so you'll have to put them back into the lake but only after you've gotten a photo to show your friend what it is like to spend a day, a week end or a week in the Okanogan Highlands.
